A vintage 1940s/1950s halter denim sun top. The top is a wrap style, and fastens with buttons at each side of the waist (as well as the button at the back neck). The top has a geometric design with contrasting fabric on the left bust, and the main fabric is a chartreuse denim (the color appears slightly brighter in photos than in person). The top has seaming/darting, typical of mid-century sportswear. It also has a small amount of elastic in each underarm. The fabric is a cotton denim, and the top is lined. The maker's tag reads, "Fleishman, Apparel City, California."
Size: xs/small
Bust: ~33-34"
Waist: 24"-snug 25"
Length: 9.5" from top of bust to hem (I didn't include halter strap since the button on the halter strap can be adjusted)
Condition: Very good to good. The top is striking and sturdy, but it has a handful of flaws. It has overall gentle wear. It has a few tiny spots that didn't come out when I cleaned it--two on the bust, one on the waist, and one on the halter strap. They are visible but don't significantly jump out. It also has an area on the back waist that looks like a water mark. Again, this doesn't jump out. I didn't want to do aggressive stain treatment because I didn't want to risk fading the fabric. Lastly, the lining had a couple open seams when I acquired it (I suspect because there was interior padding that was removed, and so I hand-sewed these seams). This is not visible when top is worn.
