A vintage Ceil Chapman dress from the late 1940s. This dress has a high collar and sequins in a wavy pattern all throughout the dress--the pattern is slightly denser at the top and more spaced out near the hem. The dress fastens with a side metal zip and snaps and hook and eye on the front bodice (the dress is styled open on the model, but as seen in the last photo, can be styled fastened). The warm brown fabric feels like rayon.

Size: s/m to medium (this dress is meant to be fitted and not have much drape--the fabric also has a bit of give, so I've included the range of measurements I think the dress would be best for)

Size: s/m to medium

Bust: 36-38"

Waist: 28-30"

Hip: 38-40"

Length: 42"

Condition: Very good. The fabric looks a bit "crinkled" in places, which I believe is being caused by how the sequins were sewn on. The fabric does look smoother when on a person who it fits snugly. A few peeling sequins (see next to last photo). The dress has also had a few small parts of the sequin pattern redone (not evident unless you're looking at the inside of the dress and notice the different stitching pattern). Also, at some point in the dress's history, it was hemmed from its original length. I note these issues because of the collectible nature of the dress, but they do not detract in any way from the overall appearance of the dress.
