A vintage 1940s dress with shoulder pads, a ruffle across the front bodice, and a gathered fabric panel on the side hip. The dress fastens with zippers at the ends of the sleeves, a back neck zip, and a side metal zip. The substantial weight, twill red fabric feels like rayon. The maker is Foxbrownie (a higher-end design house in the 1940s).

Condition: Very good. A few tiny pinholes on left sleeve and a couple small, faint fade spots at the bottom of the gathered fabric panel. The fade spots are unnoticeable when dress is worn, and the pinholes are tiny enough that they are barely noticeable (see last two pics for close ups). Dress presents as excellent
