A vintage Catalina swimsuit c. 1952 (if you see the attached image, it is an advertisement from 1952 indicating this style of swimsuit was the "Official Miss Universe Suit") -- while the suit I'm listing is a different color, it is otherwise the same suit. The swimsuit has adjustable straps that attach in back with hooks in front (it looks like the straps were once detachable but were attached in back at some point in the swimsuit's history). The chartreuse fabric feels like a rayon or rayon/lastex, and the interior bust and crotch have lining -- the fabrics are different, but they both feel like an acetate or acetate blend. The suit fastens with a back metal zip and has a panel behind the zipper with a hook and eye.
Size: xxs to xs/s
Bust: 28" at rest and will stretch to approximately 32/33" (best for approximately a B to C cup)
Waist: 18" and will stretch to 25/26" max
Hip: 28" at rest and will stretch to 34/35" max
Length (from top of bust to crotch, not including adjustable straps): 21-22"
Condition: Very good. A few nicks to fabric. Slight discoloration to dye in a few areas, most notable at front waist (common for older rayon swimsuits). See next to last photo. It's very faint and not glaring, and swimsuit presents beautifully.
