A 1930s silk peignoir set with a slip and robe, expertly handmade. The detailing on this set is exquisite. The front bodice of the slip is netted lace and silk chiffon with satin appliqué and criss-cross satin trim. The straps are satin with lace trim, and there is also lace trim on the back bodice and hem. The slip has attached waist ties.
The robe has a yoke made from chiffon with lace and satin appliqué, as well as satin trim at the neckline. There is gathering beneath the yoke, and the robe fastens with satin-covered buttons at the front neckline. The robe also has lace trim down the front and at the hem, a patch pocket with satin appliqué on the front left hip, and balloon sleeves with cuffs that have satin appliqué and trim and satin-covered buttons. The main fabric of the slip and robe is a pastel pink silk crepe. The slip has a tag that reads, "Carmela Rossi, Lungarno Vespucci 8, Florence (Italy)"
Size: xs to small

Bust: 34" max (model has 32" bust and fits her as shown)
Waist: 30" (will stretch to 32" to fit over bust/shoulders, and will cinch smaller with waist ties)
Hip: open
Length: 51"
Robe:
Open through bust, waist, and hip
Cuff measures 8" in circumference, and sleeve measures 25" from neckline to end of cuff.
Condition: Very good. A few faint marks and pinholes, primarily on robe (close-up pics are of robe sleeve and end of ties on slip). Set has been hand-cleaned, and marks lightened, but did not completely lift. The minor flaws get lost in the drape of the set, and because of their size, location, and/or faintness, the set presents beautifully.
