A vintage late 1930s/early 1940s sheer gown that was originally a nightgown. It has lace trim around the neckline and armholes and at the hem. It has embroidery below the front neckline and attached waist ties that tie in back. It's well-made hand-made garment (French seams, etc.). The black semi-sheer fabric feels like silk.
Size: xs to small
Bust: max bust is ~33-34" (model measures 32" bust, and gown fits as shown)
Waist: will stretch to 32-33" to fit over bust/shoulders, and will cinch with waist ties
Hip: up to ~40"
Length: 54-55" (will fall a bit shorter when worn because of bias cut
Condition: Very good. A small patch to fabric on right upper bodice near neckline. It doesn't jump out because of all the lace and embroidery detailing at the neckline. See close-up photos. The lace on the front bodice is a slightly lighter shade than the rest of the gown, but this looks like this was original to the garment and isn't really noticeable because of the sheer nature of garment.
