A vintage 1940s two-piece pants set with a long sleeve jacket and pants. The jacket has a collar, cuffs that button at the wrist, waistband, black buttons down the front, shoulder pads, and black decorative stitching on the front. The pants have a side seam pocket opposite the fasteners, two pleats on each front hip below the waistband, and they fasten with an interior and exterior button at the side waist. The pistachio green woven fabric feels like rayon or a rayon blend. The jacket has a tag that reads "Made in California, Hollywood Premiere, Los Angeles", and the pants have a couple original store tags.
Note: I had a difficult time capturing the color of this set -- the picture that most closely resembles its color on my screen is the picture of the jacket (pic #3).
Size: m/l to large
Jacket:
Bust: 44" (but likely best with a little drape)
Waist: 32"-snug 33"
Length: 19.5"
Pants:
Waist: 31"-snug 32"
Hip (measured ~9" below bottom of waistband): 48-49" pulled taut but best with a little drape
Length: 43"
Rise: 16"
Back rise: 17.5-18"
Inseam: 28"
Condition: Very good. Pants set is deadstock but has a few minor flaws. A few faint marks--most noticeable are on back left elbow and front left knee (see first two close-up photos). A tiny mark on front bodice that gets lost in /stitching gathering. Gentle uneven dye fade (see last photo). I haven't attempted to clean set because of deadstock nature and because I don't have a professional cleaner I trust. The flaws aren't glaring and set presents well.
