A vintage 1940s/1950s playsuit and skirt set. The playsuit has "Y"-shaped fabric panels on the front and back bodice, edged in gold rickrack trim. The playsuit also has decorative embroidered and zigzag stitching on the exterior. It fastens with buttons at the top shoulders as well as a zipper, snaps, and hook and eye on the side seam. The skirt has front patch pockets, and the pockets and skirt have gold rickrick trim. The skirt fastens with snaps at the side waist. The brown and cream gingham fabric feels like cotton.
Size: playsuit is a size large to xl, but skirt is more of a medium
Playsuit:
Bust: 44" at max, but will drape smaller
Waist: 40"
Hip: 54"
Length (from shoulder to mid-leg): 35"
Torso length: 34.5"
Skirt:
Waist: 29" (current waistband could be adjusted to 30")--skirt waist would need to be reconstructed to fit larger
Hip: open
Length: 28.5"
Condition: Very good. There were a couple small dark spots on the back seat of the playsuit that I couldn't remove, so I rewove them with some lighter thread in order to reduce their visibility (see last two pics). They are noticeable if you're looking for them, but because of their location and the reweaving, they are not glaring and do not detract.
