A vintage 1920s cape. The exterior is a pink silk velvet with a stenciled gold pattern (in the style of Fortuny or Gallenga, but the cape doesn't have any labels/signatures). The cape has a gold silk velvet lining and a shawl collar in the same gold velvet as the lining; the collar also has fox fur trim and a fox head. This collar can also be draped over the head as a hood.
Size: one size
Length (from edge of pink fabric at back top shoulder to hem): 44"
Length of collar (from where collar meets cape to where fox fur trim begins): 17"
Condition: Very good. Exterior velvet has a slightly crushed look, and there are a handful of minor dents--see last pic for an example. Because of the drape of cape and the pattern in/slight crush to velvet, these are not that noticeable. Also, there is some overall darkening to gold stenciling (very typical for older metallics), slight darkening to fabric near hem, and some spots on velvet lining (see next to last photo). This cape is stunning and presents beautifully.
