A cotton dress from the early 1940s (possibly very late 1930s) with hip pockets, lace trim, attached waist ties, slightly puffed sleeves, and red plastic buttons down the front. The cotton fabric has a small floral print in pink, yellow, green, and white on a navy blue background.
Size: xl to xxl
Bust: 56" (but meant to have a bit of drape)
Waist: 46" (will cinch smaller with waist ties)
Bodice length: 17.5" to top waist seam
Condition: Very good. Slight uneven fade (slight enough that I couldn't get it to show up in pics). Lace is slightly yellowed from age, but color is pretty even (so this may be original color of lace)--dress has been soaked. Dress is handmade and there are a few minor sewing imperfections (see last photo). All flaws are minor and don't really jump out at you.
