A vintage 1940s two-tone dress with a belt. The dress has shoulder pads, side zip, back neck zip, and gathering on the bodice and skirt that meet at smocking at the right front waist. The dress has a belt that snaps. with a metallic decoration I think the fabric is a silky rayon (it has some sheen), but it could have some silk content. The maker of the dress is Rembrandt.
Condition: Very good to good. Subtle ombre fade on one side of the skirt, typical of rayon from this era (it's less noticeable in person than in the photo of the skirt). Some fabric flaws on lower back bodice (not sure if these are age marks or fabric flaws--see second close-up photo). A couple spots on right sleeve. The flaws are subtle and don't really detract from the impact of this dress.
