Vintage 1940s horn print dress . 40s blue novelty print dress
A vintage 1940s dress, I'm pretty sure from the WWII era. It has white plastic buttons down the front, a collar, long sleeves that button at the ends, white lace trim, a snap at the waist, and hip pockets (the white lace trim on the hips follows the pocket openings). The navy blue and white fabric has a horn novelty print, is slightly stiff, and feels like a cotton (or possibly cotton blend, though if a blend, I'm guessing rayon).
Size: xs/s to small
Bodice length: 15 1/2"
Sleeve length: 23 1/2"
Condition: Very good. Dress is home sewn (with minor sewing imperfections), there are some fabric flaws near front waist buttons, and there's a patch on the back hip about 2.5" below the waist--see last pic for last two flaws. These flaws aren't really noticeable unless you're looking for them. Follow me on Instagram for shop previews: @bluefennel
